What is DIAMONE METAL LATH and Why Do We Use Them?

Manufactured from prime quality steel sheets that are slit and expanded to form small diamond shaped openings. This large number of openings provides more plaster keys, providing better scratch coat bonding in either pumped or troweled applications.

What is diamond metal lath?Diamond metal lath also named expanded metal lath,it is formed from sheet steel that has been slit and expanded to form hundreds of ''eys' per square yard. Each sheet has square ends and smooth parallel edges for fast, easy handling and installation. Diamond Mesh Lath can be bent easily to create curved surfaces.All our expanded metal lath is produced from standard G60 hot-dipped galvanized steel. G90 is available upon special request.

What is diamond metal lath used for?

Diamond Metal Lath is a versatile base for cement plaster walls. Its carefully formed diamond keys allow for keying of the scratch coat on all types of walls. Can be used with hand and machine applied plaster.

- Dimpled and v-grooved diamond metal lath is generally used in applications over solid surfaces such as gypsum, concrete and wood sheathing block.

- 5/16" × 9/16" for common interior plastering, 3/8" × 3/4" for stucco work or as a support for loose fill rock wool or similar insulation.

- 1.75 lbs./sq. yd. lath is not recommended for open frame use other than in tested proprietary one coat systems.
